Talking about the history of Hallow Village is another great idea to know more about this travel village. Initially, Sleepy Hollow was founded by Fedrick Philipse in Dutch New Netherland in an agricultural centre. After that, Philipse switched allegiance to England when British troops evicted the Dutch. This alliance continued with England till 200 years when the American Revolution forced them to forfeit their vast holdings.

After the great American Revolution this small hamlet of Philipse’s mill was changed to Beekmantown and the patriot family took full control over it until 1874. After that, this small area was recognised as a village called North Tarrytown, where more economical and other residential activities were started. And in 1996, this residential village changed to the Sleepy Hollow village of Tarrytown. During the mid-19th century and early 20th century, the region became more popular for automobile industries, later becoming the hub of America’s top automobile industry.

But this name got more popular once it was part of Washington Irving’s famous story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow”, this tale shows its rich history and other village attractions. Today this village has its own zip code, municipalities and school systems, making it a great tourist destination in the US offering seasonal events to us.
