Taronga Zoo is Australia’s most popular and renowned zoo and wildlife conservation located on the shores of Sydney Harbour. Opened in 1884 to the general public with the title of Billy Goat Swamp. Later Billy Goat Swamp converted as a Moore Park Zoo, which is run and managed by the Zoological Society of New South Wales. During the early stage of this Zoo it witnessed 228 mammals, 552 birds and 64 sorts of reptiles.

But during 1916, a new Zoo was made in order to adding 52 acres of land. Today it is home to a wide variety of animals from around the world, including native Australian species and exotic animals. Since Taronga Zoo follows strict guidelines and restrictions, it is always focusing on native wildlife (out of 4,000 species more than 700 species are native Australians).
